This includes taking photos of slides during presentations. Attendees violating this policy may be asked to leave the session and event.

Code of Conduct

  • To ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all, NPA will enforce a strict professional code of conduct for all attendees and participants at the NPA Convention & Expo.
  • Strict penalties include, but not limited to, a warning or event removal will be enforced for any participant exhibiting harassing behavior, with no possibility for financial reimbursement.
  • The conference staff is available to assist with any concerns you may have.

Harassment Assessment

  • At a minimum, the event staff will consider any and all of the following behaviors an instance of harassment:
  • Ongoing disruption of education sessions, social media platforms or other events at any NPA event;
  • Inappropriate verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion;
  • Intimidation – intended or not;
  • The advocacy for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.

Strict No-Suitcasing Policy

National Parking Association greatly appreciates the support of our exhibitors. To protect the investment they make in our events and conferences, NPA has adopted a zero-tolerance Suitcasing Policy. Any NPA Convention & Expo attendee (non-exhibitor) who is observed soliciting business in the trade show aisles will be asked to forfeit their badge and leave the show floor immediately.

Violators of these policies will be ejected from the show and charged the single-booth rate ($5,999 member/$6,999 nonmember), which must be paid prior to registering as an attendee, exhibitor, or sponsor at any future NPA conference or other events. Please report any violation you observe to show management.

Definition of “Suitcasing”
Suitcasing at the NPA Convention & Expo is defined as any activity by one who has not paid an exhibition fee (i.e., purchased a booth) where the activity is designed to solicit or sell products or services to other exhibitors or attendees without authorization by NPA to engage in such solicitation. Suitcasing can occur by those who are registered as attendees or by parties misrepresenting their business or entity relationship to NPA.

Health and Safety

All participants must follow all local and national guidelines while traveling. That means those set by transportation carriers, airports, and other transportation facilities being used. The safety and health of our members, credential holders, attendees, exhibitors, vendors and staff is of the highest priority, and we are actively monitoring the guidelines and recommendations from the government agencies as well as the host facility and city to ensure the safety of everyone involved. We will provide updates surrounding the NPA Convention & Expo as they become available.

Be sure to take note of NPA’s Know Before You Go email prior to traveling - this will contain the latest updates and information as to what is expected on-site.  You should also ensure that you have reviewed any advisories or restrictions that may be in place for travel to the United States and for travel to New Orleans.

Accordingly, you agree that you will not attend the NPA Convention & Expo if, within fourteen (14) days preceding the Convention & Expo, you have:

1. tested positive or presumptively positive for COVID or other communicable diseases or been identified as a potential carrier of COVID or other communicable diseases; or

4. been in direct contact with or the immediate vicinity of (collectively, the “Encounter”) any person who is either confirmed or suspected of being infected with COVID or other communicable disease or who has traveled to a Prohibited Country within the last fourteen (14) days preceding the Encounter.

Please Note: The guidelines in this document are based on information currently available regarding the behavior and characteristics of the COVID-19 virus, public health information and local or state guidelines with respect to large gatherings in any particular community. As more clarity with respect to these variables emerges, it is expected that these guidelines may need to be adjusted accordingly.

This may also result in prohibition from registering or attending future NPA events.

Privacy Policy. Agreed upon by the European Parliament and Council in April 2016, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires that Events/Organizations, such as NPA, protect EU citizens’ personal data and privacy. NPA will comply with this law in its entirety. To read more on this law and how it can impact access to Event data, visit https://gdpr.eu. Unsolicited marketing from third parties claiming to offer access to names/contacts of the “attendee database” are completely fraudulent and are in no way associated with NPA. Purchasing/Renting/Utilizing a list from a third party, is a direct violation of NPA’s Privacy Policy and NPA will not be liable for any fines imposed on an Attendee or in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Americans with Disabilities Act. The Association shall not be liable to the Exhibitor for losses resulting from such delay or cancellation. In no event shall the Association be responsible or liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder arising out of or caused by direct or indirect forces beyond its control, directly or indirectly including, but not limited to any event beyond the reasonable control of the parties, such as an act of God, public enemy, lockouts, riots, terrorism, threats of terrorism, epidemics, pandemics, government regulations or advisory (including travel advisory warnings by the government or World Health Organization), hurricane, flood, unavailability of communication or utility lines, earthquakes, war or insurrections, strikes, the authority of the law, travel-related problems, postponement or cancellation of the Event.

Online Registration Safety

NPA’s Official Host Hotels will not solicit or contact you to book your reservation. Tech-savvy scammers may contact you claiming to represent the hotel or calling on behalf of the association or even create fake reservations and websites that look legitimate. If you book through these sites, you run the risk of arriving and not having a reservation and may jeopardize your personal information. Make sure you are starting from an npaconvention.org webpage when you begin your hotel reservation. Never book from an email that does not come from an weareparking.org email address. Unless you have initiated the communication, please do not provide anyone with your personal information, especially your credit card number.

Please Note: The NPA Convention program and event policies are subject to change at any time.  While we endeavor to ensure that the information on the website is correct, we do not warrant the accuracy and completeness of the material on the website, and you acknowledge that you must take appropriate steps to verify the information before acting upon it. In case of questions, contact info@WeAreParking.org.

Disclaimer: Fees displayed are based on the information you have provided at the time of reservation. While we make every effort to provide accurate data and pricing, we reserve the right to adjust pricing based on any misprints or miscalculations based on member vs nonmember status.
