Emergency Preparedness Certificate Program
Thursday, September 17
9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
From weather-related issues to active shooters in the workplace, emergencies can affect parking facilities and operations at any time. It is critical that parking managers be able to respond to these emergencies diligently, professionally, and effectively to manage risk, safeguard employees and patrons, and protect their business assets.
Attend this half-day certificate course to learn the appropriate steps to prepare in advance for any emergency situation. It will examine different types of emergencies that affect parking operations from natural ones like weather to human-related emergencies like terrorism and operational disasters like fire or flooding situations.
The program will outline the building blocks of an emergency response plan to deal with these different types of incidents and it will demonstrate how to train staff in disaster and emergency procedures.
Led by a parking industry expert with decades of emergency management training, the course is a blend of classroom presentations, skills exercises, and case studies for a highly engaging learning experience.
The course is ideal for parking managers, enforcement officers, and supervisory level employees in commercial, municipal, health care, airport and other parking operations.
