Parking Facility Tours

The tour will start at the Disney Transportation and Ticket Center where Disney cast members will provide an overview of the huge parking operation and all its logistical challenges. Attendees will then get to experience Disney’s Parking Operations Center, Drive Thru Auto Pay system, its shuttle operations, and the new “Minnie Van Service.” Disney cast members will also showcase the theme park’s range of accessibility services.

Time permitting, attendees will also experience the valet operations services at one of Disney’s hotel resort properties.

The tour will include a visit to the City of Orlando’s parking center, the city’s downtown parking lots as well as the LYMMO downtown transit circulator. Parking Division team members will also showcase the city’s Nighttime Economy Manager program and the shared ride (Uber zones) management program.

The tour will showcase a number of recent campus parking initiatives including LPR, and a virtual permit system developed in-house that fully integrates with the campus point of sale system. The campus also boasts electric charging stations using Sema Connect.

On the tour, attendees will experience the campus shuttle system along with the UCF in-house smartphone application that monitors parking garage space availability in real time. The campus currently has forty-four (44) shuttles that service 23 apartment complexes as well as UCF Downtown, Rosen School of Hospitality Management and the Health Science Campus at Lake Nona. The tour will also visit the stunning Libra garage, the Garage C expansion, as well as the Recreation and Wellness Center, Fairwinds Alumni center and various student housing facilities.

In addition, while touring UCF, attendees will see the robust parking system as well 1,500 acres of well-manicured and natural landscapes which has earned the university the Tree Campus USA recognition.
