Interview with Marc Baumann, CEO, SP+

SP+ CEO Marc Baumann leads a diversified parking management, transportation, security, facility services and events company. Baumann will share his perspective on 1) integrity; 2) focusing on effectiveness with clear strategic objectives and 3) innovation. Baumann led the acquisition of Central Parking in 2012. SP+ has evolved from a parking organization into a $1.6 billion multi-faceted, publicly traded company with more than 23,000 employees. SP+ generated $83.6 million in EBITA in 2016. SP+ manages 3,686 parking facility locations and 2 million square feet of parking spaces. SP+ was founded in 1929 as Standard Parking. Traded on the NASDAQ as SP.

Baumann took the helm as CEO of SP+ in 2015. He joined SP+ in 2000. He’s held numerous senior management roles from president to chief operating office and chief financial officer & treasurer. Earlier in his career, he was the CFO of Warburtons, Ltd. in Bolton, England. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
